To showcase the #PradaSS22 womenswear collection designed by #MiucciaPrada and #RafSimons, #Prada explores a unique new format, staging two simultaneous runways shows in Milan, Italy and Shanghai, China, each unveiling the same collection at the same time: on September 24th at 15:00 CET and 21:00 CST, respectively. The Prada Spring/Summer 2022 womenswear show is a celebration of the unique experience of the runway, and the power of technology to transcend borders, to unite. A celebration of fashion and of community.

#PradaSS22 menswear collection - uncanny summer escape, concluding in a space where nature and artifact interact. The show represents a transition between a tunnel, an urban space, and the sea. The Prada SS22 menswear collection was filmed in Milan at the Fondazione Prada’s Deposito, as well as in Sardinia; in appreciation of and thanks to the Sardinian community, #Prada supports the MEDSEA Foundation in its project to restore marine ecosystems with the reforestation of Posidonia Oceanica meadows in the Marine Protected Area of Capo Carbonara. Posidonia Oceanica is a marine plant endemic to the Mediterranean Sea, providing an important habitat for marine species and playing a crucial role in absorbing CO2 to help mitigate climate change. #PradaSS20 Menswear was shown in Shanghai at the Silo Hall of Minsheng Wharf. An arrangement of neon lights outlines the industrial form language of the hall, enhancing the intricate geometries, generating a glowing enfilade that shimmers in subtle pastel colors.

Context offers a reinterpretation of classics, a new perspective on a common language of clothing. The Prada Resort 2020 collection presents an alternative viewpoint on the familiar, a seditious simplicity. A contrast with the increased complexity of the world, pulling back to the sincere, pure and true, the collection proposes an unexpected means of subversion, elegance as sedition.

The Fall/Winter 2019 Prada Womenswear show is an exploration of the anatomy of romance - ideologically, emotionally. As the romantics believed imagination could invent a better world, a perfect human being, so these ideas are fundamentally reflected in the fashion show, peopled with proposals of the idealised, the model.

The Prada Men’s and Women’s Fall/Winter 2019 took place at Fondazione Prada’s Deposito performance venue, where AMO staged a theatrical terrain of lights and architectural devices to evoke a science fictive atmosphere. It can be described as a Romantic-Pop Vision: the tension between the human sensitivity and the dangerous roughness of life. This duality is exemplified by the idea of a young misfit who wants to show his real self, a Frankenstein creature who represents the rejected, but also romance, hope, poetry and love.
